Check out the events and activities going on at Community Church.
On Sunday, October 27 at 7:00 PM, Community Church will meet for our Annual Church Conference. We will do several important things including:
• Celebrate and dedicate our new building and worship space
• Affirm by vote the work of the nominations committee for lay leadership positions
• Approve the pastors' salaries (as a recommendation from SPRC)
• Receive a report from the auditors on the conference mandated construction audit
• Important updates regarding our apportionment
Every elected officer and leader of the church should be present. All members have voice and vote and are encouraged to attend this important meeting. Non-members have voice, but no vote.
FUEL Sunday AM is a hand-crafted tool to help your adolescent (grades 6-12) son or daughter grow closer to Jesus. By combining student-led concert style worship, practically relevant teaching from the Bible and lots of opportunities to spend time with other Christian students, we believe your teenager will most effectively grow in their faith. We begin 10:30 AM in the Fuel Student Ministry area known as The Refinery on the upper level of our building.
Third graders will receive their Bibles on Sunday, October 20th & Wednesday, October 23rd, near the Kids Zone check-in. Parents, if you have a third-grader, please email Erin with their name and to receive info on how we’re celebrating this year! [email protected]
Over the last 25 years, the United Methodist Women of Community Church have helped thousands of local families in need through our annual Clothing Giveaway. Clothing donations may be dropped off October 30 to November 1 and placed in the gym (MMR) We particularly need clothing for children and teenagers. Clothes should be gently used and clean. Pre-sorting bags and labeling them by sex and size is appreciated.
